RUTHELLA DAFNIS

Blackburn-born artist Ruthella Dafnis, based in Leith, Edinburgh, is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores working-class culture, care experience, homelessness, grief, and emotional inheritance. Through installation, sculpture, archives, found objects, and layered imagery, she creates immersive environments that echo lived-in domestic spaces and afterparty culture. Drawing on personal histories and lived experience, her work investigates memory, absence, and what it means to be overlooked, reclaiming narratives shaped by class, displacement, and state intervention.
